ABOUT US

Moving With Care and Expertise

Affordable and reliable. W J Moving is a locally owned and operated full-service moving company. Wayne Joseph of W J Moving has been helping people move for over two decades, offering customers a friendly, personal service with a professional attitude.

Wayne is originally from Trinidad and Tobago but came to Ontario in 1988 on the farm program in Tobacco. He stayed on the farm program for six years, returning to Trinidad each winter. In 1996, he moved to the Norfolk area to settle down and purchased a black 1974 Chevy pickup truck for $1500. Having the truck opened up new doors for Wayne when people he knew began asking for his help to move things for them. That was the start of his new business. He soon was able to purchase a cub van and began moving items in Ontario, to Nova Scotia, Winnipeg and south into the United States.

Today, W J Moving is one of the leading moving companies in the Haldimand and Norfolk area, relocating hundreds of families and businesses each year. W J Moving is still small enough to offer personal service but large enough to handle almost any move at an affordable cost.

Safety Is Always a Priority

At W J Moving, we help our clients in making the right decision when it comes to packing different household items such as fragile, liquids, chemicals and other hazardous things. Take a look at some of the safety measures mentioned below:

Do not pack dangerous or flammable items such as propane tanks, gas, paint cans, oil, matches, bleach, household cleaning chemicals, or any other hazardous or corrosive liquids. We will not transport any hazardous, dangerous or flammable items.
You should not pack aerosol cans, including hair spray, oven cleaner, etc.
If you move while temperatures are below freezing we do not recommend packing liquids of any sort including, wine and spirits. This will prevent unwanted leaks and container breakage due to freezing and expansion
If you must pack liquids, pack them in plastic Rubbermaid containers. If there is a leak, the spill will be better contained.
Clearly label any box containing liquids “THIS SIDE UP”
Be sure to confirm with W J Moving staff what liquids, plants or food items you will be moving. Please note we can’t transport open packaged food, alcohol, plants and pets.
